It’s June… does summer start now? Maybe?

Well, the stormy skies, clouds and rain continued this past two weeks!  Beautiful and green here!  We are mindful of those suffering from tornados and flooding in other parts of the country… hoping things smooth out for those suffering soon.

Our lettuce and spinach is up… just enough to notice the rows and see it there. Now, needing more sunshine to bring on the greens.

Tom also planted wildflowers and sweet peas… look forward to a bit of color as they bloom later in summer.

Out with the old;
     In with the new...

We have been in need of a new sofa, and after seeing Karen & Bob’s this past spring, we ordered one from a company in the Los Angeles area.  Had it delivered to us here at our campground and, after dismantling and disposing of the old sofa and having the carpet cleaned, the new sofa is now in place! The old one was a “hide-a-bed” type with an air mattress… took up the whole living room area when folded out, and was a pain. The new one is a “jack-knife” style with removable arms. We are most pleased, and think it looks nice with the afghan I made :)

We have now enjoyed a couple of mostly rain-free days and more sunshine, so Tom has started on the mowing.  Campsites and grounds sure look nicer with a bit of grooming. I used the weedwhacker yesterday and trimmed up the Labyrinth :)  No need to begin watering trees yet… thank you, Mother Nature!

So, that’s about it from here in our beautiful corner of the world!
Be well, everyone!  Dianne & Tom

  1. Its not summer yet here in your old stomping grounds either (RG NF). We've had the coldest, wetest month of May in recent history, including 3 snow storms. But after years of drought & wildfires, its hard to complain.

    1. Hello, Jim... summer seems to be slow in arriving everywhere! But, yes, the rain is a blessing. Don't think we have met? But you may know of us through friends? Finally went and looked at your blog... fun to see photos of some of our favorite places! Would be good to meet and visit one day.

    1. Thanks, Karen... I am nearly finished with my second afghan, Ocean Waves with Camouflage yarn. Had some problems with the pattern, as I wrote to you about earlier... but improvised and made it work out :) Hugs to you both!
