Quartzsite 2015 Wrap Up
We’ve had a great time with friends, old and new, at our “Classless Class” gathering in Quartzsite, Arizona! This was our third year to attend, and it was a bigger group than in past years. Some 20+ rigs… motor-homes, 5th-wheel trailers and travel trailers, in varying sizes and styles, and over 40 people. Thanks to Carol Dwyer for the group photo, and to Dave Kersey for his aerial photo of our group. Also, thanks to all who have generously shared photos.
Many planned events took place, including the 2nd Annual Margarita & Quesedilla Night, an Italian Dinner, and a hot dog roast. A variety of impromptu gatherings took place from potlucks and snacks at happy hour to ice cream around the campfire. A “take it or leave it” event was held one day as we each cleaned out cupboards and gave away things we no longer wanted, and helped ourselves to treasures others donated.
Some of us took a day trip to the Desert Bar near Parker, AZ. Our last morning, with our numbers down to about half, was a farewell breakfast. Good food throughout the week, and even better visits with special friends!
In summary, my thoughts…
We came to the desert and gathered to connect with fellow travelers. We hugged old friends and made new ones; we laughed, we shared. We are similar, but also each true to our desired lifestyle. We celebrate our differences. It was truly a special time of friendship!
Be well, everyone! Dianne & Tom
