Mid-January in Quartzsite

Greetings, all!  We had a great week near Yuma with friends in our little “compound” as well as fun times with others nearby.  Lots of visiting, hanging out and enjoying a few adventures.  This first photo is four of us couples that are part of the “Classless Class” Escapees Club RV group on a day-trip across the border to the town of Los Algodones… good lunch and fun time.  Always good to have our “resident photographer,” Carol, with us to work her magic!  Thanks, Carol!  Another day, most of this group gathered for a lunch, and it was fun to have Jean & Skip, and Denise join in!  Lots of laughter!

Thanks to Denise for the new photo of us at the upper right!  Here’s one of her and Bennie that Al took… too cute, and I had to post it :)  Thanks, Al.

One day, Toni & Doug stopped by with friends, and Nancy & Dave came for an overnight on their way west!  We enjoyed good times, gorgeous sunsets, wide open spaces and wonderful week… look forward to seeing all of these good folks again before long!

Now, we have been here in Quartzsite for just over a week… mostly hanging out with “just us.” We have enjoyed warming weather, walking/hiking, sunbathing, and a peaceful, relaxing time.  Tom has been to several gem & mineral shows, and has joined the Quartzsite Gem & Mineral Club.  We even found a Farmers Market here on Wednesdays!!!

As friends roll in to the area, it’s great to catch up with each other… some we have seen along the way and others that we haven’t seen for quite some time.  After this quiet time, seems we are having more activity in these last few days… and, it’s all good!  Alice & Robbie came for a visit, and we met Lynda & Korky for a lunch visit.  Look forward to meeting up with Karen & Bob in the morning, and on Saturday, Kathleen & Mike will arrive and join us here!
Friendships are a blessing!

Next week, we will all move locations to join the Classless Class for the annual gathering… our third year with these fun people.  Plus, we have a number of other friends in the area that we look forward to seeing, so the remainder of this month should prove to be enjoyable and busy, busy, busy!

We will be heading to Tucson at the end of the month.  In addition to all the gem & mineral shows there that Tom can hardly wait to get to, we are so looking forward to time with Fallbrook friends, Patty & Budd, that will be there for a few days!  Fun folks to be with to celebrate the February full moon!!!

As always, keeping good thoughts for family and friends dealing with health issues, loss and personal difficulties.  We hold each of you in our hearts!

Fondly, Dianne & Tom

  6. Great pics ! I'm going to be doing 'day visits' to the Classless Class Group so I don't have to go through all the work of moving.
